| Starting salary £18,059 per annum | Temporary full Time (up to 12 months), 37 hours per week | 
 

We are looking for an Administration Officer to join our Business Support Team working in West Kent location. 


 We have recently realigned our services into functions to better support our service users, this has resulted in a change in the workload of our Business Support staff with increased responsibilities with handling contacts from public and professionals. 

 

As an Administration Officer you will be the first point of contact for the public who are making telephone enquiries to the Locality operational teams working in Adult Social Care. 


Your role will be to obtain information from the caller, consider a number of options to resolve the contact or create a record of the contact and relay this to the Locality Client Support Service to progress accordingly.

 

In addition to this, you will also be expected to undertake the following tasks in your role:-

 

  • Provide a minute taking service for professional and public meetings which could be of a confidential and sensitive nature;

  • Log, record and process information received for the team and ensure that it is accurately transposed and recorded on our client information system;

  • Contact our service users or their representative to book appointments (assessments and reviews) on behalf of our practitioner staff and update our client system to reflect these arrangements;

  • Participate in a rota and support our Client Support Service by providing a ‘coordinating and tracking role’ to support the effectiveness and delivery of the function;

  • Support the Business Support Manager and the Senior Administration Officer with resolving data quality errors for the service and share any lessons learnt.

 

This role is rewarding and will provide personal satisfaction for an individual who is looking to gain experience of working in a busy frontline public service. 


Your communication skills will be excellent and you will be able to demonstrate a good telephone manner and the ability to record information accurately.

 

You will receive regular support from the Senior Administration Officer who will ensure that your skills and knowledge are developed to fulfil all aspects of the role.
