A Business Support Assistant is required for the Fostering Panel and Assessment Team based at Brook House, Whitstable, comprising of a team of professional and experienced social workers and team manager responsible for assessing potential foster carers. This Business Support Assistant role is critical to ensure the smooth running of the team processes and functions and is central to service delivery. You will be fundamental in the preparation of paperwork throughout the assessment process and will hold responsibility for managing and minuting Fostering Panels. You will be working as part of the Business Support Team for the Centralised Fostering Service in a fast-paced environment, providing invaluable professional support to Foster Carers, social work staff and colleagues.

The role requires someone with excellent organisation and minute taking skills, effective communication and the ability to proactively manage their workload whilst responding to urgent requests and deadlines. You will have strong MS Excel and Word skills and the ability to collate and manage data using in-house systems. The ability to organise meetings, coordinate processes, problem solve and to communicate with a range of professionals and agencies is essential. You will need to be flexible and innovative bringing a range of skills and experience to help support the team. You will be flexible about sharing duties as required throughout the Business Support Team for the Centralised Fostering Service, acting as the first point of contact for a range of queries from Foster Carers, Social Workers and other professionals along with completing tasks on our electronic systems in order to provide an excellent service and contribute to the overall success of the team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is focused on improving practice standards within Kent Fostering. You will receive regular supervision, support and training to develop within the role.
