| Starting salary £18,059 per annum | Permanent Full Time - 37 hours per week |
 
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the West Kent Area, Short Term Pathways Team to recruit a Business Support Officer, you contractual base will be Maidstone Hospital however you may be expected to travel to other locations as required.
 
As a Business Support Officer you will be the first point of contact for internal and external clients who are making telephone enquiries to the Hospital Discharge Team working in Adult Social Care.  Your role will be to obtain information from the caller, consider a number of options to resolve the contact or create a record of the contact and relay this to the Locality Client Support Service to progress accordingly.

In addition to this, you will also be expected to undertake the following tasks in your role:-

•Provide a minute taking service for professional and public meetings which could be of a confidential and sensitive nature;
•Log, record and process information received for the team and ensure that it is accurately transposed and recorded on our client information system;
•Participate in a rota and support our discharge to assess process by providing a ‘coordinating and tracking role’ to support the effectiveness and delivery of the function;
•Support the Business Support Manager and the Senior Administration Officer with resolving data quality errors for the service and share any lessons learnt.
•Provide a full range of support to management and practitioner colleagues
 
This role is rewarding and will provide personal satisfaction for an individual who is looking to gain experience of working in a busy frontline public service.  Your communication skills will be excellent and you will be able to demonstrate a good telephone manner and the ability to record information accurately.

You will receive regular support from the Senior Administration Officer who will ensure that your skills and knowledge are developed to fulfil all aspects of the role. Equally, we will expect in return commitment to delivering a quality service and individual who wants to learn and is able to embrace change and new challenges.

You will need to be flexible in your approach with the ability to multi-task and adapt to a changing schedule.  You will have experience of managing conflicting priorities and will possess skills to handle such situations confidently.
