Following the realignment of Kent County Council’s Infrastructure Property service, we have an exciting opportunity within the Capital Programme Strategy Team. 
The team oversees the commissioning and delivery of capital programme services across the KCC estate including schools. 

The team will be accountable for interfacing with KCC’s services and ensuring that the projects represent value for money and are delivered within the required timescales. The team will provide the gateway assurance process and work closely with the wider market to support the delivery of KCC’s capital programme.

The role of the Capital Gateway Programme Officer will be both interesting and diverse and you will be accountable for administering the gateway review process to ensure that gateway reviews are undertaken at agreed RIBA stages for capital projects in excess of £1m value, including organisation of review meetings, capturing actions, chasing up outstanding actions, capturing feedback and lessons. 

You will support the Capital Programme Strategy Manager to develop and maintain capital project information files on the Council’s asset management database K2. Ensure documentation is captured in the required format and detail for future (BIM) integration into an integrated asset management system. You will also support the Capital Programme Strategy Manager with the commissioning and governance process as well as other tasks such as report writing, contract reviews to ensure that the capital programmes are successfully delivered.

You will be an open minded individual who can work with change. A solid understanding of project and programme management is essential, and you will either have a relevant qualification or significant relevant experience working within a building information management environment and be able to drive efficiency and communicate and articulate well at all levels. You must be someone who will accept individual and collective responsibility and be able to manage priorities effectively.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
