Manor Park Country Park - St Leonards Street, West Malling, Kent, ME9 6PE

We require a part-time Country Park Warden to maintain the site and its facilities in a clean, safe and attractive state through litter picking, cleaning the toilets and carrying out minor repairs, keeping the lake clear of debris, assisting and guiding visitors, enforcing site rules, cleaning toilets and reporting problems.

You will work alternate weeks and attend a two monthly one-hour Area Wardens’ meeting. Hours are: 1.5 hour per day Mon-Fri, 4 hours Saturdays and 5 hours Sunday and Bank Holidays in winter and 3 hours per day Mon-Fri, 5 hours Saturdays and 6 hours Sundays and Bank Holidays in summer.

The site needs to be opened at 8:30am and closed at dusk, on weekends this role involves 3 visits to the site with the additional visit at 2pm to check the toilets and litter bins.

You will be reliable and possess good interpersonal skills and have a positive attitude towards customer care. A basic knowledge of the countryside is important, together with a flexible attitude to working hours and a fitness level relevant to the job role is required. An ability to attend the site at short notice is required.
