Customer Service Officers (CSOs) lead our front-line libraries teams – they make sure the needs of customers are met and the day to day business of Kent Libraries, Registration & Archives is delivered to the highest standard. This involves leading and supervising staff to deliver outstanding customer service, signposting the public to other relevant service providers and a key responsibility is delivering the registration of births and deaths service.

You will have sound judgement, good interpersonal skills, feel comfortable meeting the public and be able to undertake a diverse range of tasks, often simultaneously.

22 Hours per week are worked across a range of hours, including weekend working.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
