Following the realignment of Kent County Council's Infrastructure Property service, we have an exciting opportunity within the Disposal and Investment Team.

The team will provide portfolio disposal and investment advice and work closely with the wider market to support the delivery of KCC's Investment Strategy, and oversee the commissioning and delivery of the disposal and investment portfolio streams across the KCC estate.

The team is accountable for maximising capital receipts against disposable assets and ensuring investment streams are identified and risk managed whilst representing value for money.

You will work closely with all areas of the wider team in order to assist in the development of KCC's investment strategy. The investment strategy is designed to optimise KCC's Investment Portfolio potential through providing analysis of, performance measurement and monitoring criteria that meet income return requirements.

Reporting to the Disposal and Investment Strategy Manager you will work alongside other members of the team to support effective management of the portfolio by adhering to the strategy's principles. You will be responsible for monitoring progress including acquisition, letting, lease management, income and debt collection services and measuring/benchmarking against agreed outcomes.

You will be an open minded individual who can work with change. A strong analytical ability and negotiation skills are key to the role as well as the ability to manage your own time and prioritise when working on several projects.

You will be able to drive efficiency and communicate and articulate well at all levels. You must be someone who will accept individual and collective responsibility and be able to manage priorities effectively.

An understanding of Portfolio or Estate Management is essential, you will be educated to degree level in a relevant property field and be working within a property related sector.

You will benefit from a structured training plan that includes plenty of opportunities for hands-on experience, and you will be expected to undertake a development program after completion of a probation period.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
