| Starting salary £17,189 pro rata |Permanent Part Time, 18.5 hours per week | 

The Early Help and Preventative Service vision is that every child and Young person from pre-birth to age 25 and their family who needs early help services will receive them in a timely and responsive way so that they are safeguarded, their educational, social and emotional needs are met and outcomes are good and they are able to contribute positively to their communities now and in the future, including their active engagement in learning and employment.
As an Early Help Support Worker based in Children’s Centre you’ll be responsible for providing a high quality, effective and responsive service encouraging children, young people and families to get involved in activities.

Additionally there will be times when you give more targeted support when there are additional needs.
This post will be expected to work flexibly across 0 – 25 age range as well as being able to travel across the district on a timely manner own transport will be required. With the ability to create a rapport and build relationships with children, young people and families you will be able to gather and interpret information from a range of sources. 

You’ll have knowledge of safeguarding and child protection and relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks. You’ll be prepared to work in new ways willing to learn, working collaboratively to innovate and find new solutions taking personal and professional responsibility for your actions and performance. 

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
