| Starting salary £22,182 per annum | Permanent Full Time 37 hours per week |

The Early Help and Preventative Services (EHPS) provides targeted support and open access services to children and young people aged 0-25, as well as their families.

We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent full time Early Help Worker to join our dynamic Beaches Unit, on the Isle of Sheppey. You will join a supportive team and have opportunities to further develop your skills. You will work with children and families who have been referred into the service for more intensive levels of support. You will have the ability to build relationships with children, young people and their families.

You will be able to gather and interpret information, undertake assessments and deliver 1:1 work tailored to the needs of individual children/families, underpinned by the Signs of Safety Model. You will have knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and regulatory frameworks. You will work closely with a range of partner agencies, including schools.

The ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day is essential.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
