| Starting salary £32,496 per annum | Permanent Full Time - 37 hours per week |
 
The Kent AMHP Service receives referrals for service users who have complex nearest relative issues that require displacement or delegation.  To be able to meet this statutory duty the service is recruiting an AMHP to complete this work.
 
Within this role you will work Monday to Friday. Whist you will be based in either East or west Kent the role requires travel across various locations around the country to interview service users and relatives for delegations and displacements.
 
Excellent verbal and written communication will be required as this role will involve explanations of the complexity of nearest relative and the compilation of court report.
 
You will also be expected to coordinate and undertake Mental Health Act assessments in a variety of settings, including hospital and community settings to maintain your warrant.
 
In collaboration with the AMHP Service senior team you will develop the role within the service.
Applicants must possess:
 
- Registration with a relevant current professional body.
- A current AMHP warrant.
- Willingness to work towards Practice Educator Level 1 and mentor students and other staff.
- Substantial working knowledge of all relevant Mental Health Act and Social Care legislation and Codes of Practice.
- Excellent report writing, interpersonal skills and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work on your own initiative whist being a team player.
