The Education People – Outdoor Learning Service
The Education People is a Kent County Council owned company providing a new one-stop shop for education services, supporting the full age range from early years to young adults. The Education People is owned by Kent County Council and is a one-stop shop for education services, to help you improve learning, wellbeing and children’s development. We support the full age range from early years to young adults, with over 800 products and services available specific to education needs always. Our people are here to support your people and ensure you receive a high quality product and get value for money. Our mission is to support early years and childcare settings, schools and colleges, to improve learning, wellbeing and children’s development in Kent and beyond.

Whilst this post is advertised via KCC your employment will be with The Education People.

The Outdoor Learning Service works in partnership with schools and youth groups to provide inspirational outdoor learning experiences for children and young people through our network of outdoor learning centres and outreach teams.

The Swattenden Outdoor Centre, Cranbrook – a 120-bed residential and day visit centre offering a wide range of team work and personal development activities including climbing, high ropes and challenge courses. It also provides a large campsite base for county Duke of Edinburgh’s Award activities.

We are looking for outdoor activity instructors with a passion for outdoor learning and the impact it can make on children and young people.

Full Season (February to September) and Peak Season (June to October), and part time 0.73 FTE annualised hours contracts available.
On-site accommodation is available, along with fantastic training and development opportunities.
