In this fascinating role, you will be central to our ambitions to provide an exceptional social care and health service. This is a large county which creates a unique challenge of ensuring equity of access to support and ensuring high quality care and support is provided from Dartford to Dover. You will identify areas that are doing things well, and those that could do with emulating their success, and you will suggest the measures that need to be put in place to raise standards overall; this will include supporting and working with operational staff to help the provision of excellent services. 

Your role will involve coaching, finding creative solutions to meet needs, supporting culture change and the development of a learning culture, whilst ensuring a person-centred and strengths-based approach is implemented. With the overall goal of improving the life outcomes of vulnerable adults and their families, you will deliver workshops, ensuring emerging research findings and any changes to legislation, policy and practice are integrated into frontline practice through engaging with our staff.

This is a valuable opportunity to bring your ideas to life in a progressive council. You will therefore be a welcome addition to our highly skilled team if you are an HCPC registered Social Worker with extensive post-qualification experience in the social work field, and have a passion for improving practice standards. You will need thorough knowledge of different models of social care and health, excellent communication skills to forge positive working relationships with colleagues across the county, the ability to analyse statistical and performance information and the skills and confidence to support the workforce through change.
