A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time Senior Practitioner post in the Dartford, Gravesend, Swanley Supporting and Promoting Independence Team.

As part of a well-established management team with good support, your role would focus on service delivery within social care. This would include ensuring high quality services for vulnerable adults in the Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley area, managing resources and staff performance.

This is a role where you can also contribute significantly to the local and national agenda for health and social care.

If you are a qualified Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Nurse with experience in Adult Social Care then we would love to hear from you. You will need a relevant professional qualification (Social Work, Nursing or Occupational Therapy) as well as up to date registration with the appropriate professional body, you should have substantial and varied experience of working with adults and their families and carers.

You’ll need experience of systemic practice and of mentoring others, with the ability to assess their performance and development needs. You will have an in-depth knowledge of legislation and policies relating to Adults.

You will provide a practice and supervisory service to both registered and unregistered staff within the team. You will be confident to ensure effective safe practice and adherence to the operating framework for OPPD clients and related policies, procedures and practice guidance. You will also work with local social care and health systems; you will lead close working with service providers to support clients to work towards their independence and wellbeing goals.

The ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day is essential.
