An exciting new opportunity in Kent County Council has arisen to join the team working in The Nest, which is a small 3 bedded residential unit offering support to individuals aged 13 – 18 with behaviours that challenge. The unit offers that support in a time limited assessment period which will help individuals transition to other longer term services.

You will need to have a Level 3 Diploma in Care or equivalent.

You will work as part of a team supporting individuals and contributing to support plans, which can effect changes to behaviour.

You will be required to work a set shift pattern, which includes alternate weekends and sleep-in duties.

You will have experience of supporting individuals with challenging behaviours.

Applicants should have experience of working with learning disabled adults or children.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
