An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within our dedicated and motivated team as a Tutor/Assessor on a one year fixed term contract able to cover a wide variety of employers across Kent.

Kent Training & Apprenticeships deliver an exciting range of innovative training programmes to people aged 16 years old and upwards. We are one of the largest work-based vocational training providers in Kent offering Apprenticeships and vocational training programmes.

The successful candidate will need to hold an assessor qualification with recent practical experience of assessing apprentices in the workplace along with current knowledge of the sector.

For a full time position you will need to have assessment experience in both Early Years and Supporting Teaching and Learning sectors, candidates with experience in one sector only will be considered for a part-time post. 

We support and provide inspiration to our learners undertaking a range of courses and qualifications with us. We provide a high quality learning experience to enable achievement and exceed our learner’s learning and development aims.

This role will involve teaching, training and assessment of underpinning knowledge and practice activities working both in our centres and at employer premises using information learning technologies.

You will be required to work at a variety of locations so the ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day is essential.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
